Gaussian blur

Step 1

Select a picture,

Cat is the subject of the image and as you can see below, the background is what I want to remove:

Step 2

Choose the Magestic Lasso from the Tools Menu




Select the subject of your picture (in this case, cat and the blue cloth).





Step 3

Now go to the Main Menu and choose: Select/Inverse



Now, the background is selected:




Step 4

Apply the Blur effect:
Go to Filter/Blur/Gaussian Blur



Choose radius: 92,1 pixels and click OK




                            Now See the difference.
